Question- What Happens When You Talk About Anal Sex?

Welcome back to the Blogging From A-Z Challenge.

Today Q is for Question.

My question is: What happens when you talk about anal sex?

Answer: an uncomfortable silence.

Okay, I posted this a while back, it actually happened to me because sometimes I get a little chatty.

If you already read it, you may move on, or re-read if you like.

Porn with a Plot-- Followed by Foot in Mouth

I made it all the way up to P for the Blogging From A-Z Challenge!

Today I am talking about Porn with a Plot. My husband and I will watch some porn together from time to time. More so when we first moved in together as money was tight and we were just thrilled we were alone all the time and could watch porn if we wanted.

It can kind of bore me, as I really like to read my porn, not watch it. I do happen to like porn with a plot. You know those soft core movies on cable premium channels late at night? Not really for porn reasons, although, seeing boobs and watching people have sex will turn me on. I actually just love the stupid plots, the horrible acting, and the music, oh dear god the music!

My husband will record them because they're usually on at like 3am and I am long asleep by then, so we end up with a DVR full of crazy porn titles.

Anyway, I had an embarrassing mishap and I think the problem may have stemmed from me not really categorizing these movies as porn. To me, I am having a few drinks and spending quality time with my husband, while poking fun at movies where people happen to be having sex on screen.

The mishap in question happened when we were over at my inlaws house for dinner one night (do you see where this is going). My father-in-law turned something on the television that reminded me of a scene in one of these movies. It actually had nothing to do with sex, it was some woman in a desert doing something with crystals.

I turn to my husband and say "This is like that movie we were watching last week."

Mr. McKay: I have no idea what you are talking about.

Me: Yes, you do! Remember, it was about that woman, and I can't remember exactly what happened, but she was in the desert. It got weird and we shut it off.

Mr. McKay: Nope, no idea.

He then changes the topic of conversation, but I ended up talking about it a little more to his mom-- who seemed sort of interested. I couldn't place it so I dropped it and thankfully moved on.

A few hours later we're in the car on the way home and it hits me.

Me: Ohmygod! I was talking about a porn!

Mr. McKay: Yep, I knew exactly what you were talking about.

And that is how I ended up explaining the plot of a porn to my mother-in-law. Or at least most of it, the part we watched anyway.

Check out some other blogs too, I think most of them are ahead of me in the alphabet, but I am catching up!

Oral Pleasure- Dungeon Crawl

It's Dungeon Crawl time again! I'm also doubling up again and using this as my Blogging from A-Z post. So today O is for Oral Pleasure.

I don't think I need much set up here. This is from Loving Lena, my new book that is on sale now.

Lena is giving Wesley a little strip tease, except he breaks all the rules and can't keep his hands off of her-
"Wait," he said. Rising from his chair, he moved in front of her. "Take these off first." He knelt down and unhooked her stockings from her garters, rolling the silk down her left leg.

She held onto his shoulders for balance as she lifted her foot so he could pull it the remainder of the way off.

Kneeling in front of her, he could smell the arousal coming off her sex. He let out a groan as his pants seemed to tighten against him.

He placed his hands on the clasps of the next stocking, but not being able to resist the temptation in front of him, he leaned his head forward and took a taste of the honey dripping between her thighs.

Lena gasped and her hands tightened on his shoulders. "Wesley," she whispered. Her voice was tinged with an urgent need. She tried to take a step back, but he brought his hand behind her and gave her a hard slap on her buttocks.

She yelped and jumped forward again, right up against his waiting mouth. He clamped his hands on her bottom, holding her in place as he laved his tongue over her nether lips.

She let out another whimper and her knees shook.

He pulled his head back and looked up at her. Strands of hair had fallen out of the pins that held them in place. Her eyes were glassy and he could see beads of perspiration that had formed across her chest.

He rolled down her right stocking, tugging it off her foot. Then he stood in front of her. "Sorry darling, I have a hard time controlling myself around you."

He pulled her close and kissed her hard on the mouth.

She responded by moaning into him.

"Are you too warm?" Before she could answer he placed his hands at the top of her corset, then pushed it down, exposing her breasts.

The tight corset pushed them up as if they were an offering, serving as further incentive for his need to bury himself inside of her.

Lena Trimble should be experiencing the happiest time in her life. She is in love with the most wonderful man she has ever met, they have a beautiful baby together, and they are starting a new life in a new country. But Lena feels like she is living a lie. Their child was conceived out of wedlock and she is still embroiled in a divorce from a horrible man who never loved her but was only after her money.
Wesley Lawford feels like the luckiest man alive. He finally has Lena all to himself and he is trying to build a new life with her and their child. But as Lena's divorce drags on, her fears of what others think have her retreating from the world, and worse, closing herself off to him. Afraid of losing Lena as she continues secluding herself, Wesley knows he must be firm with his future wife and Lena soon finds herself over Wesley's knee for a hard bare-bottom spanking. Will a firm hand and loving domestic discipline bring back the woman he loves? Will simply loving Lena be enough to keep them together?
Loving Lena is the second in the Ravenswood Manor series. The book is a Victorian romance set during the beginning of America's Bicycle Craze, in 1890's Philadelphia. Although each book can be read alone, characters from the first book in the series, Emmaline's Groom, are referenced in Loving Lena.

How Musicals Brought Out My Inner Kinkster

I made it to M in the A-Z Blogging Challenge! Today I am talking about musicals!

The Tony's were on last weekend and I thought it was an excellent show. What I always hope the most when I am watching the Tony's is that some kid in the middle of America, with not a lot of opportunity to get to the theater, or get a lot of exposure to musicals tunes in and watches the Tony's. I really hope one of them saw this:

Neil Patrick Harris as Hedwig. Picture from Variety.com

And thought. "Huh, I'd probably look killer in those heels too."

It would really be great for some kids to have an epiphany. I am not just talking about dreams of musical theater-- almost every actor who wins a Tony says they remember watching the Tony's when they were young and they used to practice their acceptance speech in the mirror, and they always knew this day would come!

That is great for those talented people who can sing, and dance, and act-- and do it all at the same time. This is not most of the population.

I am going to share with you what musicals gave to me.

They helped me to find my inner kink.

I am not talking about the Rodgers and Hammerstein selection, The Sound of Music, The King and I, anything with Judy Garland, and My Fair Lady. I grew up on a steady diet of these musicals. Throw in a little Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Shirley Temple films and you are pretty much reliving my childhood. I watched them with my mom, she knew all the words and we both sang off-key together.

Then the musical Rent hit Broadway and became wildly popular. I bought the original cast recording and listened to it over and over in my bedroom.

It was loud and fast paced and Rock and Roll. It talked about sex, it had sex in it, it had all kinds of things I didn't understand but wanted to. I had no idea musicals could be like this. I was hooked!

Specifically the song La Vie Boheme. The characters all file into a restaurant after one of their friends has performed at a protest and they are singing this upbeat song that just makes you want to live life. Go listen to it here.

But here are some of the lyrics that made a nerdy kid who did not know much about life, or anything for that matter, sit up and take notice:

Bisexuals, trisexuals, homo sapiens,
Carcinogens, hallucinogens, men,
Pee Wee Herman
German wine, turpetine, Gertrude Stein
Antoniotti, Bertolucci, Kurosawa
Carmina Burana

To apathy, to entropy, to empathy, ecstacy
Vaclav Havel - The Sex Pistols, 8BC
To no shame - never playing the Fame Game

To marijuana

To sodomy, it's between God and me
To S & M

Yeah, that last part-- I actually remember asking my mom what S&M was, you know, just normal dinner table conversation. She wanted to know why I wanted to know, and then I knew it was something good!

I lied and told her I heard it at the school bus stop.

She never did tell me. I did look it up in the encyclopedia though. As well as sodomy-- that was an education.

This same year my best friend introduced me to her mom's old VHS copy of Hair!

This just added to my education. And so my inner kinkster was kickstarted.

In truth, it was probably always lurking beneath the surface. I just had no idea up until then that so many people were having all of these thoughts. And putting them to music no less!

Some people might not relate to this post. And I get it, we can't all be people who like musicals. But take this as my public service announcement to not overlook the nerdy girl in love with musicals.

Theater nerds do it with a soundtrack.

L is for Lady Westbrook's Discovery- Etta Stark is visiting!

Today I invited Etta Stark over to share something from her new book Lady Westbrook's Discovery.

If you have never visited Etta you should go check out her blog because this chick is funny! Also, I am almost finished with Lady Westbrook and her dreamy husband Felix Oliver and I would highly recommend purchasing it right now, it's sweet, funny, and very sexy in parts.

Go on, do something sweet for yourself! And now I will turn things over to Etta:

Hi Casey. Thanks so much for having me on your blog. And thanks everybody for coming to read it. We’re almost halfway through the alphabet now! We can do this!
Very handily L stands for Lady Westbrook, eponymous hero of my new book ‘Lady Westbrook’s Discovery.’
Lady Westbrook is actually only called Lady Westbrook for the first half of the book. The title came from her first husband and after she marries sexy scientist Felix Oliver, she becomes plain old Mrs Oliver. It’s not a massive step down in social rank. Her new husband may not have a title but he is still the son of an Earl. (Only the eldest son of an Earl gets to be a Lord, you see. Unlike the sons of Dukes who are all Lords. The British nobility system basically works the same as Top Trumps. Duke beats Earl.)
It must be a bit strange, relinquishing a title when you’ve gotten used to having one. Still in Margaret’s case, trading in an honorific for a cute, devoted new husband might be considered a pretty good swap. Even (or especially,) one who turns you over his knee for a spanking at the drop of a hat.
The excerpt below takes place just after Margaret’s first spanking which she suggested Felix give her so she would know what to expect once they were married.

Margaret pushed herself up from the desk. Her hair was in disarray and her face was flushed pink. Her hands instinctively went to her bottom in an attempt to temper the pain.

She looked up at Mr Oliver and was initially surprised to see that his expression was one of anxiety. Of course, she thought, this was a test, after all. He wants to know that he has passed.

So,” she said, her voice wavering and shaky despite her best efforts to control it, “you would punish me in that manner if we were married?”

Yes. If we both agreed that you deserved it.”

Margaret took Felix Oliver’s hands in hers. “Well then. I hope that you do not find it necessary to punish me too often.”

His worried frown disappeared in an instant. He smiled broadly and his eyes sparkled with warmth.
Then you will consent to be my wife?”

I will.”

Oliver dropped her hands and encircled Margaret in an embrace. He squeezed her tightly and buried his face in her hair. “Thank you,” he whispered in her ear.

His hand moved to the back of her head and he pulled Margaret towards him and kissed her. Margaret was astonished by the force and passion behind his kiss. His lips forced hers apart; he pressed down on her mouth and plundered it with his tongue. It was not a seemly kiss for two people who were not yet married. It was probably not a seemly kiss for any two people, thought Margaret. Her first husband had certainly never kissed her like it. Mr Oliver’s lips pressed against hers with a passion and an urgency to which she felt herself instinctively responding. Her lips moved in synchronisation with his, and she opened her mouth wide to receive his tongue. It was positively scandalous, she thought happily.
Blurb:
Lady Margaret Westbrook is a forty-one year old widow who has not given romance a second thought in the ten years since her husband passed away. When she meets Felix Oliver, a brilliant scientist fifteen years her junior, she is surprised by his determination to win her heart. Lady Westbrook discovers a passion within herself that she never knew existed.
However, accepting Felix Oliver's proposal will mean relinquishing her title, lowering her social standing and risking both the gossip of polite society and the disapproval of her grown-up sons. Not only that but he has made it clear that he is a firm believer in corporal punishment for women and that consenting to be his wife will mean frequent trips across his lap for a sound spanking. How far is Lady Westbrook willing to go on this journey of discovery?

K is for Knickers- A Saturday Spankings Snippet

As this is part of my A-Z Blogging Challenge and my Saturday Spankings post I am only including one linky list as this post would be super long with two lists! Please click here to see the other A-Z Blogs.

Today K is for Knickers! First of all, I love when people call underwear knickers. I think it's cute. I also think it's a British thing and the term underwear is sort of unsexy.

So today I am talking about knickers and I have a little scene where Lena has been modifying her own knickers so she is more comfortable riding her bicycle. She is embarrassed to share this with Wesley at first, but now that he has found her out she is showing him that she copied the pattern from a pair of sexy, silky knickers he had purchased for her in Paris.

She had worn them for him a few times, but she was always embarrassed-- she did not realize how beautiful she was.

"Put them on for me." He pulled out her chair and sat.

"Wesley-"

"Come here, darling."

He placed his hands on her hips, looked up into her clear, blue eyes and he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Do you know how many times a day I picture you in my mind in this pink silk?" He tugged them out of her hand.

"Undress for me. Undress and put these on. It would please me so," he whispered to her.

J is for Journey- Excerpt from Loving Lena

It is Friday the 13th so I was going to do J is for Jinx, but I am not feeling particularly jinxed this week. Quite the opposite in fact, I just released a new book, Loving Lena, so I thought I would tie in a J post to an excerpt for you.

So today J is for Journey. Lena has been on a journey literally speaking as she moved from England to America with Wesley.

She is also enduring a figurative journey as lots of changes are taking place in her life right now. Most importantly she is anxious to marry Wesley and for her divorce to be finalized from her first husband. This journey is taking a bit of an emotional toll on her and she is lashing out at Wesley.

In this point in the story she is voicing her frustrations about the amount of time her divorce is taking. Wesley is also concerned about Lena's health and the amount of sleep she has been getting.

"I do not wish to discuss this anymore. If you say it will be dealt with soon, then I trust you." She moved to pick up her dress, hoping to put an end to the conversation.

"It will be. Soon. You have my promise." He reached out and touched her shoulder, but she shrugged out of his grasp.

She squealed in protest when he took her by the waist and spun her around.

"I am still not pleased with your attitude," he lectured. "If you are feeling lonely maybe Emmaline can come by more often. I will try to help you how I can, but you need to stop this at once." He gave her shoulders a shake as he finished his sentence.

"How will watching your baby sister help me to feel less like a prisoner in my own home?" she shot back.

"Lena," he said her name softly and brushed a hand across her bare shoulder.
"Why are you trying to start an argument?"

"I am not starting it, it just is!" she shouted, and realized it felt good to shout. She had all these emotions welling up inside her and she had been beating them down for so long she was ready to explode.

"Do not shout," he reprimanded. Releasing her shoulders he crossed the room, removing his jacket from the armoire. "Let us have a nice dinner and then I will be putting you to bed at a reasonable time tonight. We can talk more about it later."

"You will do no such thing!"

He turned to look at her, his mouth set in a grim line. "You will stop shouting, and we will talk about it later."

She stomped her foot, "I am not a child and you are not giving me a bedtime."

"Stop acting like a child before I treat you like one," he warned.

She is in love with the most wonderful man she has ever met, they have a beautiful baby together, and they are starting a new life in a new country. But Lena feels like she is living a lie. Identity Crisis- Coming Out as an Erotic Author

I am back with another post for the A-Z Blogging Challenge!

Today I am posting about I. I is for Identity Crisis.

Like many authors I have a pen name. Sometimes I feel like this pen name gets to voice the real me. I was worried when I first became Casey McKay that I had manufactured some character that I was trying to live up to, and in the beginning when I first started blogging and getting my feet wet, maybe I was.

That didn't last long though. Maybe a couple of weeks? I had a hard time not being real in my posts, it just happens. I am goofy, I say dumb things, I like to laugh, and I don't mind sharing the down and dirty details. It's much easier just to be real.

So if you are wondering if I would be the same in real life as I am on my blog, the answer is yes.

The problem in the beginning was letting my real self post on my blog, being honest and true about my thoughts and opinions. My problem now is remembering not to let it all hang out in real life. I don't need to voice exactly what I am thinking 100% of the time, sometimes I just can't remember that.

I really only police myself on Mr. McKay's behalf. He is open minded enough to let me talk about our sex life on my blog, he just isn't entirely comfortable with our friends having access to my blog just yet, and I am fine with that. It's a give and take, I get to talk about all the spanking details as long as I keep it under a shroud of secrecy.

Recently while we were out getting a drink with a friend he was prompting me to tell her a funny thing that happened. But it also had something to do with anal sex, and us engaging in it, and I was surprised and a little confused that he was ready to share all of this with someone. I also misread the situation and thought he was giving me the go ahead to share everything-- my writer side, my pen name, my blog.

Luckily, I just told the story involving the anal sex and kept mum about my writer life, but I told him later that's what I thought he was telling me.

His response was: "Really? No, I don't think you're ready to share that with our friends yet."

I informed him that I was ready and I was waiting on him to be okay with that fact that I am blogging about our sex life.

He was quiet, then he said: "Okay, I'll tell you when you're ready. You aren't ready yet."

That made me smile. He can't be completely uncomfortable with it because he just helped me publish my sixth book! That's right, sixth!

Dungeon Crawl- Post Spanking Inspection

Welcome, welcome! It's your weekly dose of Dungeon Crawl
Today I have another dose of Loving Lena the second in my Ravenswood Manor Series. It is currently being formatted and uploaded, so look for it to purchase at some point tomorrow!

It this little selection Wesley is teasing Lena later in the day after her first spanking has taken place.

Running his hands down her body, he pulled himself off of her, sitting back on his side of the bed. He leaned against the pillows, propping himself up in a seated position.

She looked at him in question, but then he pulled her across his lap.

"What are you doing?" She looked back at him over her shoulder.

He ran a hand up her naked thigh and she shivered at his soft touch. "I am inspecting for damage."
His hand caressed her naked cheeks and she wiggled her hips over his lap. He pinched her bottom and she let out a giggle, "Now, now, hold still while I look you over," he said in mock annoyance.

"Yes, sir," she answered in a breathy moan.

He went on caressing and massaging until she was spreading her legs open, begging for his touch to wander to other places. "I think it all looks good here," he went on. "Hardly even pink anymore."

She let out a sigh and pushed her hips up, inviting him to touch her.

"Are you asking me for something?"

"Wesley," she moaned.

"Yes?"

She opened her legs wider and rubbed herself on his thigh. "Please," she begged.

His fingers found her molten core and she let out a low moan.

"My, my, I have been keeping you wanting. You should have let me know there were matters that needed to be attended to," he teased.

Look for Loving Lena, on sale tomorrow! Or see where it all began in Book 1, Emmaline's Groom!

High Fives- The New Handholding

I am up to H in my A-Z Blog Challenge. So today I am talking about high fives.

You know when you were a kid and you did something really awesome and your friend would high five you?

Yes, that is what I am talking about.

More importantly, I am talking about high fiving the one you love.

A number of years ago, before we were married, Mr. McKay and I were hanging out with a group of friends. We were all in our early 20's. This one friend we had (I say had, as we no longer speak to her) made some comment about another couple high fiving, something to the effect of- "You shouldn't high five your wife."

As if getting married put you into some other category and automatically turned you into people who wore dress clothes on weekends, ate grass fed beef, and started preferring wine over beer. Also, you definitely no longer high five.

Well this one comment launched a very obnoxious high five frenzy anytime this friend was around (because we are mature like that).

If we were out for dinner- "Look, they have half price burger tonight! High five!" Mr. McKay and I would lean across the table, getting in everyone's faces with our over exuberant high five.

"We got a close parking spot! High five!"

"We woke up without hangovers! High five!"

It was pretty comical (to us at least) and not so funny to this friend of ours. Obviously we were juvenile and I am sure she was thinking "Just wait and see! Wait and see when you are old and married and forced to become adults, there will be no high fiving."

But there is- everyday, we always find something to high five about. We have celebrated in the grocery store parking lot with high fives after scoring some sweet deals.

We have high fived over excellent parking.

Oh, Jeopardy, that is a big high five game show to watch (especially if there's a pop culture category).

And yes, we have high fived after some particularly good sex, because really? You should congratulate each other.

My point is everybody has their thing. If you are hand holders, you will probably still be holding hands when you are old and grey (at least I wish this for everybody).

We high five, I sort of hope one day we are rejoicing in a high five that we both remembered to put our teeth in-- because you know what? That's a good day.
